Dear Resident of West Baraboo,
We are writing to inform you of a change in your garbage and recycling service. Waste Management, has terminated their contract with the Village of West Baraboo as of March 31, 2023. The Village Board accepted a contract with Pellitteri Waste Systems beginning April 1, 2023.
Residents will see a decrease in the charge for garbage and recycling services beginning on the May 1, 2023, bill for services April 1-30.
There will also be a village wide event for Pellitteri Waste Systems to disperse new garbage and recycling bins. The new garbage and recycling bins will be distributed throughout the village during the week of March 20th . If you have not received your bins by March 27th, please contact Pellitteri Waste Systems.
Your last garbage and recycling pickup with Waste Management will be on March 31st. They will be collecting their bins starting March 31st. This collection process will take approximately 8 days to complete. Please keep your empty Waste Management bins on the curb until they are collected. The bins must be empty for Waste Management’s removal. If your bins have not been collected by April 7th, please contact Waste Management.
Please begin using Pellitteri bins in April. Waste Management will not empty Pellitteri bins and Pellitteri will not empty Waste Management bins.
The biggest change for residents will be that garbage and recycling collection will change from Friday Service to Tuesday Service. A service calendar will be included in a welcome packet from Pellitteri upon delivery of your new garbage and recycling bins. Your recycling week may change so please review it carefully.
